The cannabis industry is growing fast—but for too many women, especially here in New York, it still feels like we’re clawing our way into a boys’ club that never wanted to open the door in the first place.

We talk equity. We talk access. But when the room is finally full of women, too often the energy shifts—from power in community to silent competition. That ends now.

We’re proud to announce our support for NYCWOC by HerLeaf Alliance—a coalition of women advancing equity, access, and power in New York’s cannabis industry. This isn’t just another networking group. It’s a movement built on courage, transparency, and legacy.

And we’re not just talking about it—we’re building systems.

Starting this month, we’ll be hosting a series of monthly gatherings at Cannadreams in Hell’s Kitchen. Expect everything from moodboarding and journaling circles to accountability workshops for entrepreneurs. It’s about giving young women not just support, but real strategies, tools, and infrastructure to succeed.

We’re here to build community, share knowledge, have fun, and really bond—because support isn’t just structural, it’s emotional too.

There are plenty of women’s orgs in this space. But let’s be honest—some are more about gatekeeping than growth. They thrive on exclusivity, kiss-the-ring politics, and performative sisterhood. That’s not us. We recognize that everyone shows support in different ways—and we make space for all of them.

It’s no secret Cannabrite has weathered its share of attacks—defamatory, invasive, and deeply personal. Last summer, we were targeted in a smear campaign laced with misogyny and weaponized shame. A man threatened to expose a woman’s sexual history, incited violence, and suggested rape.

The worst part? It wasn’t just men who enabled it. It was women who chose cruelty over community. Who amplified the lies. Who stayed silent when empathy was needed most.

And yet—ironically—it was the older men in this industry, the ones you’d expect to be the gatekeepers, who actually checked in. Who offered grace. Who saw the human being beneath the headlines.

This isn’t just a personal story—it’s a precedent.

Because how we respond to violence and defamation, especially when it’s aimed at a woman in this space, defines the culture we’re creating. What we tolerate becomes culture. What we challenge becomes change.

So let’s be clear:

• We’re not interested in labels.
• This is not a “Me Too” movement.
• We don’t need to call ourselves feminists.

We’re just women with courage—women who show up for each other, even when it’s uncomfortable.
